The first exhibition at the gallery was called “The Ambassadors”, in a nod to the 16th century masterpiece which includes one of the most famous anamorphic images in painting. That’s why we decided to keep this anamorphic trick.

We translated the idea of a reflection on mortality into a minimalistic visual expression, and played on the anamorphic imagery and in ‘trompe-l’œil’ style for each poster, aiming to trick the eyes of the viewer. The hidden meaning of each poster is revealed by looking through a magic tube.

Memento Mori

A modern art gallery dedicated to the Vanitas movement that explores this symbolic period in art. We created a distinctive universe for the gallery by playing with perspective and the overlapping motif of memento mori.
